Activities recommended by our family, friends and guests
We have only been in Skye for about 12 years; we’ll never fit in all the things we love to do!
The Cuillin – of course
Walk from Willie’s to the cliffs and scramble down to Rubha Hunish to watch the whales, the birds and just soak up the loveliness and peacefulness
Ferry over to the Isle of Raasay. Take your bikes if you have them, for safe, exhilarating cycling.
A few of the many other things you can do
Boats trips to the Outer Isles, and to see seals, porpoises, birdlife, otters and much more.
Guided or independent walking and climbing in a unique and fascinating landscape
Fishing – local permits and tuition available
Photography – a host of wonderful sights, whether wildlife, landscape or sunset
Astronomy – Skye currently has 7 dark sky discovery sites
Golf at Sconser
Kilt Rock and other geological wonders
Archeology and history – Flora MacDonald, the Clearances, duns, souterrains and chambered cairns
Museums and Heritage (see dinosaur footprints!)
